NAN Nestle: Nourish your child’s every possible
During the early years, as your child develops under your care, every day is a new source of amazement and satisfaction, a constant reminder that you can nourish their every possible.
Every parent wants what is best for their child, now and for the future. And we are committed to help. That is what has driven NAN’s pioneering spirit early on and what keeps us pushing the boundaries of pediatric nutrition. It is in our brand DNA: NAN stands for Nouvel Aliment pour Nouveau-né which means New Food for Babies, in French. Backed by over 150 years of Nestlé’s expertise, when Henri Nestlé saved a premature baby who could not be breastfed. Since then, we have been at the forefront of research, providing cutting edge nutritional options for parents and caregivers. Now, more than ever, we continue to pursue the next breakthrough innovations to nourish every child’s lifelong health.

Packaging designed to be recyclable
Cans, plastic scoops, lids and cartons are already designed to be recyclable in every market our products are available. By 2025, we aim to ensure that our full portfolio is designed to be recyclable. We encourage parents like you to support our efforts by finding out about the recycling schemes in your community.
Use of renewable resources
Today, the cardboard for our bag-in-box format is made from renewable resources. We are about to roll out our new lids and scoops made of 66% renewable plant-based material. Just as safe and recyclable, our new lids and scoops are produced from sugar cane. This is our latest step to increase the use of renewable resources for our packaging.
Reduction of carbon footprint in our farms and factories
All our factories are ISO 14001 certified, an internationally recognized guarantee of their environmental management standards. A third of them are already using renewable electricity and we are continuously moving towards our 100% renewable electricity goal. We also have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 18% per product ton between 2010 and 2019, and are committed to doing even better in the future.
